About

Swift Rockies is the premier practitioner-focused iOS conference in Canada. Over two days, attendees experience hand-picked technical talks, real-world war stories, and the kind of unscripted conversations that only happen when 180 serious engineers are in the same room. With a strict single-track format and round-table seating, the conference eliminates distractions and fosters deep engagement. Set at the Calgary Zoo, the event blends nature, community, and cutting-edge Swift development in a unique, inspiring environment.

The conference features sessions on Swift Concurrency, Swift beyond Apple platforms, build performance, modularization, accessibility, and AI in app development. Speakers include Staff and Senior Engineers from Apple, Shopify, Figma, Wealthsimple, and other leading tech companies. Apple’s Worldwide Developer Relations team will deliver a dedicated 90-minute session on WWDC26 updates. Optional pre- and post-conference workshops expand the learning experience.

Beyond talks, Swift Rockies emphasizes connection: speakers sit at tables with attendees, there’s no green room, and participants are encouraged to switch tables between sessions. The event closes with a live podcast recording and a musical performance by James Dempsey and the Breakpoints. Designed for intermediate to senior iOS developers, Swift Rockies offers depth over breadth, access over spectacle, and an experience that extends beyond the stage.
