SciPy 2026 marks the 25th anniversary of the premier conference on scientific computing with Python. Hosted at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis from July 13–19, 2026, this milestone event brings together researchers, developers, educators, and data scientists from around the world to celebrate innovation in open-source scientific software. The conference features tutorials, keynote talks, peer-reviewed presentations, Birds-of-a-Feather (BoF) sessions, and collaborative coding sprints.
The program includes two highlighted tracks: 'Spirit of SciPy', honoring the community’s collaborative roots, and 'Data-Driven Discovery, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence', showcasing cutting-edge applications in science and industry. Additional tracks span physics, astronomy, environmental sciences, biological and medical sciences, education, and community maintenance. The event emphasizes inclusivity, accessibility, and community-driven development, with financial aid available and support for remote participation.
