PyCon Africa 2026 is the continent's largest gathering of the Python community, celebrating Python's role in powering innovation across Africa. The conference will take place from October 7 to 11, 2026, at the Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala, Uganda. It offers a rich program designed for Python enthusiasts of all levels, including complete beginners and seasoned developers.

The event kicks off with a free Beginners Day featuring hands-on workshops for those new to Python. This is followed by three main conference days filled with inspiring talks, technical sessions, and interactive workshops led by speakers from across Africa and around the world. The conference concludes with Sprints, where attendees collaborate on open-source Python projects, contributing to the global Python ecosystem.

Beyond the technical content, PyCon Africa fosters a vibrant community atmosphere, enabling networking, knowledge exchange, and partnership opportunities. Whether attending in person or virtually, participants will engage with a diverse and inclusive community passionate about technology, education, and African innovation. The conference also welcomes sponsors and volunteers who play a vital role in supporting the growth of the Python community across the continent.
