BSides Belfast 2026

BSides Belfast 2026 will mark the eighth time this community-focused cybersecurity event is hosted in Northern Ireland. As a central hub for IT and security professionals, the conference supports collaboration and knowledge-sharing among diverse groups in the region. With an organising committee drawn from Northern Ireland's broad IT and information security sector, the event curates high-quality content across at least two tracks of talks and technical workshops.

The event aims to attract top international speakers while fostering local talent through rookie support, hands-on workshops, speaker preparation sessions, and competitions. BSides Belfast continues its mission to remove common conference barriers, inspired by the original BSides movement that began in 2009 when quality speakers were excluded from mainstream events due to space constraints.

Post-pandemic momentum has seen attendance grow from over 500 in 2023 to 650 in 2024 and an expected 700 in 2025, with projections remaining strong for 2026. The conference reinforces Belfast’s growing reputation as “the cybersecurity city” by creating unique opportunities for collaboration, learning, and networking that no other regional event can match.
